Logansport

Before incorporating Logansport, French colonists traded with the indigenous Potawatomie and Miami Indians, native American tribes living within the Wabash River Valley.

Lying between the Wabash River and Eel River, the city has seen many large-scale floods throughout its history. The flood of 1913 left 5,000 without homes.  The south side and the west side neighborhoods of Logansport were an inland sea. As a result of this flood, four bridges were washed away and another condemned due to damages. (Cass County Historical Society)
