West Lafayette’s many community attractions include Purdue University’s picturesque campus, historic landmarks, parks, and trails. Purdue University is a leading academic university with it’s flagship campus located here. West Lafayette’s central green spaces include Happy Hallow Park, Horticulture Park, and Tapawingo Park. Just a short drive north of West Lafayette is Prophetstown State Park where visitors can enjoy12.5 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and walking.  

West Lafayette supports citizen participation and engagement. The West Lafayette Free Friends implement landscaping projects in the public right-of-way. The Go Greener Commission addresses environmental issues related to the area’s events and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation pursues its mission to grow the arts in West Lafayette.
